Bud was a devoted husband and father. He was the son of Edgar and Rosa Crow.

He grew up in Nebraska with his brothers Raymond and Clarence. He married Margaret on December 2, 1939, in Norton, KS. They moved to Englewood, CO shortly after getting married and bought a house where they spent the rest of their lives together. He worked many jobs including truck driver for the Manhattan Project, and dynamite loader. He spent many years as a wood worker and even after retirement, could be found in his workshop working on a new wood project. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
