Dan, as he was called, was very good looking and smart. He invented the first machine that took flicker out of the old movie machine. His name was in a scientific journal but before it was settled, he had a cerebral hemorrhage and died in Gulfport, Miss. Dan & his wife managed the theatre at one time in Colby. It was near the old Post Office on the vicinity of 5th and Franklin. He ran the projector and she played the piano and organ.
