Ypsilanti Twp., MI Age 94, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at her residence with her loving family at her side. She was born August 2, 1915, in Carleton, MI. On April 18, 1936, she married Dellas Jahncke at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ypsilanti and he preceded her in death on February 20, 1999. Mrs. Jahncke has been a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Transfiguration Catholic Church both of Ypsilanti. She will always be remembered for her devotion and love for her family. Survivors include two daughters: Joan (Jim) Pryce and Carol A. Jahncke and one son, Ronald (Grethel) Jahncke; ten grandchildren: Jim (Denise) Pryce, Mary (Ken) Spitler, John Pryce, Anna (Gary) Wood, Joe (Shannon) Pryce, Ron Jahncke II, Cathy (Jeff) Kerner, Carol (Joe Echols) Jahncke, Grethel Jahncke, and Phyllis Jahncke; 19 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Floyd Jahncke and one grandson, Dallas Jahncke. Cremation has taken place. Rite of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 410 W. Cross St., Ypsilanti with Fr. Robert Roggenbuck as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Ypsilanti, MI Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10 a.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Mercy Hospice.
