Judith Buchanan Kean Shaw, 66, of Richmond died Nov. 29, 2009 at John Randolph Medical Center.

Mrs. Shaw was born Sept. 22, 1943, in Halifax County the daughter of the late Howard Raymond ‘Bose' Buchanan and the late Evelyn Tharpe Buchanan. She was first married to the late Jerry Dean Kean and then to the late Paul Jesse Shaw. Mrs. Shaw was a member of Clover Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, J. Kevin Kean; three grandchildren, Kendahl Renae Kean, Dalton Sloane Kean and Michael John McDaniel Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Kean McDaniel and husband, Michael, all of Chesterfield; one brother, Stewart ‘Bucky Buchanan of Orlando, FL; one sister, Brenda B. Berry of Stephens Church; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shaw will be held Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. at Clover Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Buchanan Family Cemetery on Springhill Farm.
