WOLCOTT — Jessica Faith Apruzzese, 14, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, in a tragic automobile accident in Wolcott along with her brother, Anthony.
Born in Waterbury on March 15, 1993, she was the daughter of Albert Apruzzese and Donna (Jenner) Apruzzese, both of Wolcott. She had attended SS. Peter and Paul, Frisbie and Tyrell schools.
She was a freshman at Wolcott High School where she was on the varsity co-ed cheerleading competition team. She danced competitively at Rob Merrante Academy of Dance, and was a contestant in the Teen Miss Wolcott Pageant and the National American Miss Pageant.
Besides her parents, Jessica is survived by her maternal grandparents, Howard and Faith VanDuzer of Thomaston; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Road. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Calling hours are 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Road.
