Obituary:
Charles Briggs departed this life at the home of his mother-in-law Mrs. Mary Gehrett, in Rockhill borough, Sunday night April 15, after a lingering illness of several months at the age of 36 years, 5 months and 2 days. For a time he and his wife lived at Pittsburgh until about a year ago, they returned to Orbisonia where they have since relocated. He was a son of the late G.W. Briggs and Sarah Briggs of Orbisonia, who still survives, in addition to his wife, one brother, Ottis, of Oakmont, Allegheny county; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Rowe, of Turtle Creek, and Mrs. Frank Wilson, of Orbisonia. He was a member of Oak Hill Lodge No. 346, K. of P. of Turtle Creek, and a delegation from the lodge attended the funeral. Interment was made in Orbisonia cemetery. Rev. John Collins, of the Methodist church officiated at the funeral services.
