Amelia C. Nobles the daughter of Jonathan Nobles and Hila Tracy Nobles was born in New York and their second child.

Amelia married Hopkins Porter Moore on August 8,1839, most likely in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

They had the following nine known children: Helen Amelia Moore Coburn, Charles Porter Moore, Hila Louise Moore Patch, Emma Maria Moore, Henry Tracy Moore, Ulilla Sophia Moore Updyke, Hannah Nobles Moore Learn, Nobles Frederick Moore, Charlotte Evelyn Moore and Kate Neta Moore.

This was a very patriotic family, a majority of the daughters joined and served the Daughters of the American Revolution on Amelia's Grandfather, Solomon Tracy (1756-1835) who served as Lieutenant of the Goshen regiment at the battle of Minisink, N.Y. 1779. It is unknown at this time if Amelia was also a member of the D.A.R. too. It is certain that she knew Grandpa Tracy as she was 15 when he passed away.
