In Feb. 1908 she united with the Willow Prairie Christian Church, of which she remained a faithful member so long as health permitted her to attend.
She was married to Garnet Briggs, of Moriah, July 7, 1910; to this union was born a daughter.
She leaves to mourn her departure, a loving husband, little daughter Mary, father, mother, and one sister, Mrs. James Hart and four brothers.
Only a short time ago her little sister Jessie, preceded her to the great beyond.
She had been confined to her bed over a year, during, which time she had been a patient sufferer, always cheerful to the end. During her last few days on earth, when she felt the end was nearing, she called her friends to her telling them not to weep for her, as all was well and that she was going to live with little Jessie, and entreating them to live the life of the righteous.
Funeral services were conducted July 15 at the Willow Prairie church; scripture reading and prayer by Rev. D. I. Lingafelter, sermon by Rev. John Frederick.
Ruth was of a loving disposition, desiring a good name rather than great riches, which endeared her to everyone who knew her. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery nearby.
