57, of DeWitt, died Monday at Upstate Hospital. A native of Bronx, NY, she had lived in the Syracuse area for 13 years, and had also lived in Philadelphia, Tampa, and Big Sur. She attended St. Raymond's Acade-my for girls where she excelled in all subjects especially Math and Latin, was the treasurer of her class, and choir member with her Soprano voice. She attended Lehman College in the Bronx where she majored in math and English. Loretta then went on to attend SUNY Binghamton for her graduate degree in English. It was there she met the love of her life, David Hines, whom she had been married to for 33 years as a devoted Army wife. She had a unique childlike innocence, sensitivity, and caring concern for other human beings. She was especially fond of little children, singing, Yankees baseball, SU basketball, doll collecting, praying, God's Word, giving gifts, and being a mother. She was the secretary assistant principal and nurse of the former Believers' Chapel Christian School where she was known for her laughter and editing skills. She was a member of Believers' Chapel in Cicero where she had come to know her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which has brought her to glorious eternal life with Him. She was a beloved wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, David; her children, Melissa and David Jr.; and her brother, Joseph. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the DeWitt Community Church, 3600 Erie Blvd. E., DeWitt
