JENNINGS — Funeral services for Clifton Paul Dupuis, 68, will be at 10 a.m.
Monday, Jan. 22, in Matthews and Son Funeral Home.
The Rev. T.L. Herlong will officiate. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery.
Visitation is 9:30 a.m.-10 p.m. today, with a rosary at 6 p.m. by the Retreat
Men and 8 p.m. by the Cursillo Members, and from 8 a.m. Monday.
Mr. Dupuis died at 9:08 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, in his residence.
A native of Rayne, he was a resident of Jennings. He was the owner of Dupuis
Abattoir. He served in the U.S. Army. He was president of the fire board in
Hathaway and on the Immaculate Conception Parish financial council. He was
named a Cursillo in 1956 and was captain of the Grand Coteau Retreat Movement.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley G. Dupuis of Jennings; four sons, Paul
Dwayne, Gerald James "Tiny", Jackie Thomas and John Phillip Dupuis, all of
Jennings; one daughter,Sue Jester of Jennings; five brothers, Delton, Alfred
Lee, Russell and Leland Dupuis, all of Jennings and Luther Dupuis of Lake
Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Juanita) Oubre of New Iberia and Darlene
Matlick of Gramercy; and nine grandchildren.
