Deirdre was our little lover kitty. She would spend hours cuddling with anyone she could, whether it was her humans or her four legged brother and sisters. Even though she was 16 years old when she passed, she remained a tiny little thing with an eternal kitten attitude. She was the one who played with our rescued pit bull puppy and was the first one to cuddle her and groom her and adopt her into the four legged part of the family. She was a total daddy's girl. Whenever Rob would get ready for work, and as soon as he got home, she was right there to demand his attention. If he didn't give it fast enough, she would reach out and snag his hand with her front paws, hold it in place and go into "self petting" mode...rubbing back and forth against his trapped hand and purring so loud you would swear the windows would start shaking. She and her sister Benji were almost always found together, and if she wasn't with Benji, Deirdre was probably cuddled up with Auset, our pit bull. Of all the animals in the house, she was probably the calmest, and no matter how bad your day might have been, she could turn it around in a heartbeat.
