Was a Sergeant of Band 26, U.S. Inf. during the Spanish American War.
In 1908, he was sent to Folsom Prison for breaking into the Palace Drug Store, due to bad health he was released and allowed to return home to Healdsburg. On his way to Healdsburg he died on board the Train near Fulton.
His mother Mrs. H.A. Correa still lives in Healdsburg.
