Harry Piefer Dies Shortly After Reaching Fort Dodge From Montana - - Wife And Three Childre Visiting Here, Recover. (should read Charles C. Peifer)

Called from Montana by his wife's illness, Harry Piefer contracted influenza on the way and died from pneumonia shortly after his arrival here Monday. Piefer, who was about 34 years of age, had a temperature of 105 when he got off the train. He was taken at once to Merch hospital. Mrs. Piefer and three children were visiting at the BOWERS home at Gypsum. Thirteen out of a household of fourteen contracted the influenza. Mrs. Piefer was seriously ill for a time but completely recovered as did all the others.
The funeral of Mr. Piefer, which was private, took place Tuesday afternoon.
