Eugene Edward Nota
age 77, of Belleville, MI, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Manistee, MI. He was born August 24, 1935 in Ecorse, MI, son of the late Sophia (Boguszewski) Nota.
Edward graduated from Belleville High School in 1953. He went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army in 1955 and served in Korea. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Belleville. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Rawsonville Road plant in 2000 after 43 years of loyal service. He was a devoted family man and the best dad and grandpa. He enjoyed casinos and Northern Michigan.
Mr. Nota is survived by three children Pamela (Ron) Stokes, Sandra (Tom) Tinsley and Kevin Nota, all of Belleville, 4 grandchildren Stephanie Nota, Jaclyn (Evan) Hofman, Steven Tinsley and Samantha Nota, a sister Delores Mahood, two brother-in-laws George Ahearn and Dave (Connie) Furtaw, a sister-in-law Beth Kelsey, also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, wife Janet Marie (Furtaw) Nota on January 12, 2008, sister Eleanor Ahearn, also two brothers Andrew and Richard Nota.
Visitation will be 2-8 PM Tuesday with a 7:30 PM Scripture Service. Closing Prayers 9:15 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the David C. Brown Temporary Viewing Chapel, 500 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville, processing to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia Ave., Belleville, for a 10 AM Funeral Mass. Father Thomas H. Cusick will serve as Celebrant. Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
