Louise Sidlo Obituary

Louise Konfrst Sidlo was born on November 18, 1885 in Prague, Czechoslovakia to Joseph and Anna Konfrst. She passed away in Red Cloud, Nebraska on December 5, 1978 at the age of 93 years and 17 days.

She immigrated to America at the age of 14 and settled north of Red Cloud. Louise was united in marriage to Joseph Sidlo on December 4, 1906 in Red Cloud. Two children were born to this union, a son and a daughter. In 1924, the family moved to Bladen. Following Joseph's death on December 3, 1948, she moved in with her daughter near Blue Hill, where she lived the remainder of her life.

Surviving are her son, Edward of Red Cloud; a daughter, Mrs. Frank C. (Ruby) Lukas of Blue Hill; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Anna McClure of Boulder, Colorado.

Services were held Thursday, December 7, at 2 p.m. at Simonson Funeral Home Chapel in Red Cloud with Rev. M. Manick Samuel officiating. Music was provided by Miss Wylma Fletcher. Pallbearers wer Richard McPartland, Red Kucera, Ed Skrdlant, Floyd Sidlo, Glen Skrdlant, and John Soucek. Interment was at East Lawn Cemetery at Bladen, Nebraska.
