Carol Norma (Emsweller) Ruby, 60, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2013 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN.
She was born on November 4, 1952 in Rushville to Leland Quentin Emsweller and Grace (Roberts) Emsweller.
She was employed at Atterbury Job Corps as a Residential Advisor where she loved her students and showed it by listening to them, trying to understand their problems, and encouraging them to stay strong in her own unique ways.
Carol really loved her independence and she could be an ornery cuss when she wanted to; she was as tough as nails.
She is survived by her two daughters Brandi (Billy) Joya and Kelly (Reid) Hanson, her three brothers Larry, Craig, and Jeff Emsweller and four beloved grandchildren, Leland, Lowell, Terry, and Lilly and many friends.
Carol chose a private cremation and not to have a funeral. Instead, she requested that everyone celebrate life and stop smoking because in her words, "lung cancer sucks."
