CARR, ALTON E., 69, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. He was a Louisville police officer for 28 years and owned Police Unlimited and was a member of F.O.P. #614. Mr. Carr was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Spencer (Tim). He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 50 years, Joyce Carr; daughter, Lisa Sturdivant; sister, Zelure Morgan; brother, Eugene Carr; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday 2-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks, Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd. where services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Burial will follow in Brookland Cemetery.

Alton joined the Louisville Police Division on September 15, 1961. He served in the Patrol Division. His assignments included the 2nd, 3rd and 5th Police Districts. He helped form the Louisville Police Football League and played for the 5th District football team. He retired from the 3rd Police District on May 31, 1989.
