David Daugherty, age 55, of Monclova, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
He was born July 26, 1955, in Toledo to Vernon and Kathleen (Barber) Daugherty.
Dave served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was employed as a mechanic for over 30 years with Jeep, retiring in 2005 and most recently worked for Kuka Toledo as a team leader.
Dave enjoyed working on cars with his sons and nephews in the barn, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Diane (Larson) Daugherty; sons, David Daugherty and Douglas (Michelle Papp) Daugherty; grandchildren, Lillian, Devin and Jayden Daugherty; sisters, Kathy, Joyce and Robin; brother, Van; mother and father-in-law, Barb and Robert Cole; sisters-in-law, Sue (Tom) Spellis and Barb (Jeff) Glick; brothers-in-law, Rob (Jane) Cole and Corey (Rebecca) Cole and several nieces and nephews and special nephew, Josh.
The family would like to thank Swanpointe Care Center, St. Luke's Hospital and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care of Dave.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, March 13, 2011. from 1:00 - 8:00 pm in the Maison - Dardenne - Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2011, at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
