Emmet Harry Olson, 70, died Jan 22 at his home in Broomfield. His wife, Rose Marie Olson of Broomfield, died the following day at the same home. She was 67.
Emmet Olson was born Oct.1, 1925 in Ludell, KS to Harry Ames Olson and Esther Davis He had 12 years of education. Olson completed 32 years of government service, two of which were spent in the military during WW II. He retired from the Broomfield Post Office in 1981 and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Rose Marie Olson was born Feb 15 1928, in Harrisonville, MO to Vernon Hale Trumbo and Minnie Glenys Johnson. She was a high school graduate and went to college for two years. She retired from the Boulder Valley School District in 1985after more than 20 years of work.
They were married Jun 11, 1950, in Boulder. They spent the last 10 winters in Florence, AR. They are survived by two daughters and a son, and 10 grandchildren.
Services were Jan 29. Interment was at Crown Hill Mausoleum.

Mr. Olson worked for many years at the Broomfield Post Office. He was a delightful man who loved to tell a good joke!
