Edward H. “Eddie” Boyce, of 4207 4th St., Greenville, died Tuesday night at a Dallas hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 29.

Services are pending with Sorrells-Peters Funeral Home.

Services for Edward H. Boyce Jr. of 4106 Fourth St. will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sorrells-Peters Chapel with burial in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Boyce died Tuesday in a Dallas hospital.

He was born Aug. 25, 1953 in Lubbock to Edward H. and Ruby Crouch Boyce. He married Deborah Walden on May 7, 1971 in Greenville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed as a helicopter mechanic at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Grand Prairie. Mr. Boyce was a member of the Ardis Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife of Lone Oak; his mother, of Greenville; sons, Edward H. Boyce III and William Eric Boyce; a daughter, Laci Nichole Boyce; and sisters, Nikki Spargar Melendez of Greenville, Pat Belcher of Richardson, Keli Collins Vann of Commerce and Ella Cooper of Lone Oak. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service for Edward H. Boyce Jr. of 4106 Fourth St. will be at 2 p.m. today at Sorrells-Peters Chapel with the Rev. James Ralson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

He died Tuesday at 7 p.m. in a Dallas hospital.

Pallbearers will be Michael Green, Al Walden, Art Kinser, Jimmy Earl Walden, Richard Lindsey and J. Carter.
