Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Free Will Baptist Church for Floyd Kirk, 127 East First. The longtime Drumright resident died Friday, October 17 in the Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa. He was 80.
Officiating was the Rev. Ernest Harrison, pastor of the church. Music was provided by Mrs. Earl Judd and Roy Drake with Mrs. Lucian Mills at the organ.
Mr. Kirk was born June 20, 1900 in Westville, Okla., Indian Territory. He was married January 10, 1920 to Mettie Sanders. They came to Drumright in 1924. He was employed with the DX Sun Oil Co., as a station operator until his retirement in 1953.
Survivors are his wife of the home, two sons, Lloyd of Cleveland and Bill of Morris and one daughter, Louise Waite of Tulsa. Also six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
