Mrs. Agnes Garthwaite, 831 Maple Avenue, Elmira, N.Y., died Thursday in St. Petersburg, Fla. She was born in Milton and was well-known in the area.
She was a member of the Riverside Methodist Church, Elmira. Her husband, Samuel D. Garthwaite, survives, and a daughter, Mrs. Irene F. Mease, at home; a sister, Mrs. Helen Laudenslager, San Lorenzo, Calif., two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Boyd Hagerman funeral home, Elmira, on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Herbert Hoskins will be in charge of a committal service at 1:30 p/m/ Thursday in Harmony Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
