Lanny Joseph Granger, Sr., age 57, died in his home. He lived in the Lakeland area since 1980, moving there from Buras. He was a member of the Dixiecrats Hunting Club and he enjoyed outdoor activities.

Survivors include his children: Lanny (Bubba) Granger, Jr. and his wife, Martha of Vinton; daughter, Melba Monfette and her husband, Craig of West Monroe, LA; brother, Jerry Nolan Granger of Vinton; sister, Wanda Granger Turley and her husband, Steve of Hammond, LA; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Nolan and Margie Granger; brothers Raymond and Kenneth Granger; and grandson Joey Monfette [please see his listing].

His funeral was held on 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2006 in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton, LA. Burial is in Lee Cemetery in Vinton. Visitation was on a Saturday from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday from 4:00-9:00 p.m., and Monday 8:00-10:00 a.m.
