HARROD, Aug. 31 - Joseph F. Leveck, 69, Spanish-American war veteran, died at 5:25 a.m. Thursday in Veteran's hospital in Dayton following an extended illness.
He was born near Harrod and spent many years of his life there. He was a member of the Masonic order at Waynesfield.
Surviving are his widow, Grace; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Hill, 1176 Rice-av; a son, Max, with the AAF in Yukon, Canada; one grandson; a sister, Mrs. Ida Snyder of North Baltimore, O.; and four brothers, Melvin of Deshler, Arthur of Columbus, Arlis of Detroit, Mich., and Logan of Oak Harbor, Mich.
The body will remain at the Weygandt funeral home in Waynesfield where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Roundhead cemetery.
