Confederate Officer, served as an Engineer. He was an important member of the E.L.Bradley Bivouac.
He was s/o Adam and Hester Ann Hazzard Fergusson. He married Medora Catherine Kirby about 1866. They had 11 children. They called their homestead on Bowman's Branch "Gullychoke". He taught school at Black Gnat Academy and after moving to Nashville was a prominent attorney in that area.
