Mary Ellen (Ballmer) Mussehl, age 82, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2008 in a private care home in Toledo, Ohio. Born on August 26, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio to Cary and Florence (Franz) Ballmer, she graduated from Libbey High School and lived in Nuremberg, Germany for 2 years with her husband, Edward Mussehl, while he was stationed there. Mary worked at both Sprengers and the Lion Store for over 30 years and enjoyed her dogs and feeding and watching birds.
Mrs. Mussehl was preceded in death by both of her parents, brothers Woodrow, Ralph and Robert Ballmer and Edward Mussehl.
Surviving are her sister, Fern Hintz, sons; Richard Geis, Ralph Mussehl and Randy (Avril) Mussehl and grandchildren R. C. Geis and Megan Mussehl.
Friends may call at the Foth - Dorfmeyer Mortuary 3815 Sylvania Ave. (Between Monroe St. & Talmadge Rd.) Wednesday from 3 – 7 PM where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to The Toledo Humane Society.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Tina Jackson and Dr. Alan Sundheimer for their care and concern for Mary during her illness.
