C. George Boulanger, 85, of Tularosa, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, in Alamogordo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Bindel Boulanger, and second wife, Josephine Boyce Boulanger.
He is survived by daughters Mary Boulanger (Phil Cook), of Milwaukee, Wis., and Margaret Hagedorn (Eric), of El Paso; son John Boulanger, of Falls Church, Va.; and six grandchildren who cherish his memory: Phillip Cook, Alex, Robbie, James, Elizabeth and Johnny Hagedorn.
Mr. Boulanger was born in Southbridge, Mass., and served in Gen. George Patton's 3rd Army in Germany in 1945. After joining the U.S. Air Force, he lived near Wichita Falls, Texas, where he met his first wife and started his family.
Retirement and civil service employment took the family to El Paso, where they lived for 20 years. His second retirement took him and Agnes to Alamogordo, and then to Tularosa, where he met Josephine and spent his last 19 years.
The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church, 303 Encino St., Tularosa.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church with Father Juan Montoya, O.F.M., as celebrant.
Inurnment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard.
The Boulanger family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
