★Aunt Etta is the girl on the right, with her brother Clarence and sister Ida.
Etta was born to George & Rosa Pelch, but lovingly raised by her step-father Howard Welch after her father was killed by being crushed between 2 trains while he was working for the RailRoad.
Married Lawrence Atwood in 1957, they did not have children, but helped raise many nieces and nephews.
She was a very Patriotic women, she taught each of us children to fold the flag when it was retired at night & how to properly raise the flag in the morning. She wrote to many soldiers during the VietNam War & sent them packages as often as her income would allow.
Aunt Etta was the biggest ELVIS PRESLEY fan, she had so much Elvis memorabilia that when here home burnt down the Elvis estate heard about it & sent her a replacement for everything and then some. She took us kids to every Elvis movie that was playing while we were ther for our summer vacations.
After her parents died she took on the responsibility of caring for her mentally challenged brother.
