Wayne County News, Wayne, WV. March 6, 1959

Mrs. Cassie Booton, 85, died Friday in a Huntington hospital. She was the widow of R. F. Booton, founder of Booton Funeral home, at Wayne, which is now being conducted by her son, Harold, and grandson, Dana Morris. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Wayne Methodist Church. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

She was born on Miller's Fork in Wayne County, a daughter of Elias and Lucy Midkiff Childers. She is survived by four sons, Herald and Max of Wayne, Carl and Earl of Burbank, California, three daughters, Mrs. Nila Dameron, Mrs. Jettie Maynard, and Mrs. Gladys M. Jones of Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. Leah Dick of Huntington, Miss Lizzie and Miss Addie Childers of Lavalette Rt 1; 26 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.

Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death.
