Metamora woman found dead in car
METAMORA (PNS) – -
Sandra Cowling, 25, of 512 Manor Drive, was found dead at her home at 4:40 a.m. Monday. Woodford County Coroner Stephen Mooney said she was found in a car at her residence with the motor running.
An inquest will be scheduled. Mooney said death was attributed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rutland, the Rev. Jonas Callahan officiating. Burial will be in Riley Catholic Cemetery, Rutland.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Aimone Funeral Home, Toluca. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Cowling was born June 18, 1952, in Bloomington, a daughter of Lynn and Harriett Thommen Rippel.
She married Ted Cowling Sept. 5, 1969, at Rutland.
Surviving are her husband;
a son, Clint, at home;
her father, Peru, Ill.;
her mother, Mrs. William Arndt, Rutland;
two brothers,
Richard Rippel, Toluca,
Reynold Rippel, Rutland;
four sisters,
Renee Rippel, Peoria,
Jackie Hillenburg, Metamora,
Yvonne Arndt,
and Veronica Arndt, both of Rutland;
maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thommen, Roanoke.
An infant son and an infant daughter and her paternal grandparents preceded her in death.
She was an emergency medical technician student at Illinois Central College.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rutland.
