Mr Sherrill was a great friend of mine and will be sadly missed. He was my Scoutmaster while I was a BoyScout in Troop 283, El Capitan District, Orange County Council. He was not only a great friend of mine but a great Scout Leader.
Ill never forget him.
Mr. Sherrill came from Texas and was always proud of that. He followed in his fathers footsteps and became a butcher. He had a son and a daughter. I only remember his sons name as Steve but cant remember his daughters name. He was married to Shirley, who was also one of the nicest ladies Ive ever meant.
The day that I received the phone call from his daughter telling me Mr. Sherrill had past away is a day Ill never forget. It was a very very tragic day. Many of his boys in Troop 283 will always remember him.
