Charlotte Litt was the first of seven children born to William Litt Sr and Marie Kramer on February 21, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY. She passed away on January 22, 1989 in Long Island, NY at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 1 day.

On April 11, 1942, she was united in marriage to Charles Bach. One daughter was born from this union.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, one brother, Francis; and one sister, Rose Mary Goschen.

She was married a second time to Gordon Stockwell.

"Nanny" will always be remembered for her exceptional baking skills. At one point, she owned a candy shop in Brooklyn with her husband, Charles. She never visited her grandchildren without bringing along home-baked cookies and leaving behind dollar bills.

She was survived by her husband, her daughter, Madeline (Bach) Auriemmo; five grandchildren, three sisters, Loretta Moran, Frances DeCruccio, and Rosemarie Voegtle; one brother, William; and several nieces and nephews.
