(OBITUARY)
Impressive funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hiram Bullis at the Episcopal church in this city last Friday at 2:30 for Mrs. Thomas Carroll, who passed away in Ogden on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1915, after an illness of three weeks leaving a husband and three children. The G.I.A. services were in charge of Mesdames Rein Burke, W.F. Baden and Bert Gilchrist, all of Ogden, the deceased having been a member of that society and carried $1,000 insurance.
The services were very largely attended, and the floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. The pall-bearers were N. B. Johnson, Wm. Stahley, Wm. B. Bailey, Hobart Chapman James Murray, and W.C. Blyth. Interment was made in the family lot in the city cemetery.
Beulah Galbraith-Carroll was born Feb. 5th, 1884, at Davenport, Neb., and came to Evanston with her parents soon after. She was educated in the city schools and was one of the 1903 class. At one time she was chief telephone operator in this city, and won a free trip to the Lewis & Clark Exposition, as the most popular young lady of Evanston, in a voting contest conducted by the Salt Lake City Telegram. She was a truly good woman, popular and esteemed by all who knew her and the sincere sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved ones in their great and unexpected loss.
Other surviving relatives besides those already mentioned are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Galbraith, Myra, Grace and Geo. Galbraith Jr., all of Brigham City, Utah; Mrs. H.G. Kelley of Evanston; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Galbraith of Omaha, Neb.
Mr. Carroll's sisters who came for the funeral were Alice C. Carroll, Emery, S. Dak., who will be his housekeeper; Mrs. H.W. Gross, Pocatello; and Mrs. W.E. Chubbick, Blackfoot, Idaho. --Evanston Ex.
