Rachel Alma Ashby, mother of HPROA member James "Jim" Ashby passed away peacefully in her sleep, Thursday morning March 12, 2015.
Rachel was born June 13, 1911 and lived to be 103 years old.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Reverend James C. Ashby and daughter Edna Ashby Rimel.
She is survived her daughter Betty Lang, Betty's husband Charles and her son James C. Ashby, Jr and his wife Dorothy, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Miller Funeral Home, 7723 Beechnut Houston, TX 713 981 1184.
Private burial services will be at the VA cemetery, Tuesday, March 17, 2015
Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 19,2015 at Willow Meadows Baptist Church, 4300 W. Belfort, Houston, TX at 10:00 a.m.
Mrs. Ashby lived to be 103 years, 8 months and 27 days old.
