Edna Cox Brown
MERKEL - Edna Cox Brown, 98, of Colorado City, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at a Colorado City Nursing Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Starbuck Funeral Home, with Ryan Ingram and Eddy Pomroy officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Born in McLennan County, she was the daughter of James Faulkner Cox and Mary Ellen Caine. She married Clarence E. Brown in 1921. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brown attended school at Golan. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Trent United Methodist Church, moving from this area to Midland in 1953. She was a babysitter in Midland until 1981. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ingram of Humble, Billie Minear of Lake Colorado City and Evelyn Pomroy of Crane; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great- grandchildren.
