MADISON - Ewald M. "Wally" Babler, age 80, of Madison, died on Monday, February 17, 1997, at a local hospital. He was born on July 12, 1916, in Mount Pleasant Township. He worked as a meat cutter in Sullivan and the Madison area for many years. In the early 1930's, Ewald participated in the Professional Rodeo Circuit, nearly making it to the World Championships, at that time, held at Madison Square Garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Babler and Louise Gempler; a brother, Leroy Babler and two sisters, Anita Richardson and Helen Dettwiler.
Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe.
