MRS. DICK LUBBERS
Funeral rites for Mrs. Dick (Martha) Lubbers, 70, 623 W. Illinois, who died late Monday in a local hospital following a period of ill health, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Logsdon officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, heart division, and to the Calvary Baptist Church parking lot fund, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
Mrs. Lubbers was born May 29 1902, in the Homestead area. She attended the Independence rural school and Tabor College. She and Dick Lubbers were married June 25, 1933, in Homestead and they established a home in Okeene where he was employed by the Frisco Railroad. They moved to Enid after he retired in 1957.
Mrs. Lubbers was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she was the pianist for the Adult 3 Class. Her parents and five brothers predeceased her.
She is survived by her husband Dick of the home; three sons, Harlan Dean Lubbers of Marietta, Ga., Myron Don of Edmond and Lyle Gene of Okeene; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis Ann) Leckey of Fredonia, Kan., and Mrs. Michael (Carol) Winterbank of Enid; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Gerken of Okeene, Mrs. Mary Gerken of Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. Frank (Helen) Garner of Enid; a brother, J. L. Patzkowski of Enid; 14 grandchildren.
