William Lee Stinnie, 56, of Charlottesville, VA departed this life at the Trinity Mission nursing home.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Lee Solomon, mother, Sarah Stinnie, and brother Gary Stinnie.

He was a graduate of Lane High School and attended Wilberforce University. William was an instructor at O.I.C, and a veteran of the United States Coast Guard.

William had a passion for kids and worked at Camp Faith as a youth counselor, he also loved to caddy at Farmington Country Club.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Tamara Anderson of Richmond, VA, two brothers, James Thomas Stinnie Jr. and Charles R,. Stinnie, five sisters, Mary S. Brown, Sarah Stinnie, Joyce Stinnie, Theresa Wicks, and Sharon Stinnie, three grandchildren, Carlmara, Myeek, and Rakee Anderson, a very devoted and caring friend, Alice Anderson of Richmond, VA, two childhood friends, Charles Cooper and Lorenzo Dyer, an uncle Richard D. Smith of San Diego, CA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
