Paul D. Harless, 75, of 1004 Harrison Ave., Greenville, died 1:50 p.m. Thursday at Wayne Hospital after being admitted there May 18. He had been in failing health for a couple of years.
Mr. Harless was a retired farmer from the Eaton area, moving to Greenville in 1969. He was also a former employee of a casket company in Richmond, Ind., and had been a member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church, Greenville.
Surviving are his wife, Edna (Longfellow), two step-daughters, Mrs. Carrol (Helen Carter) Thompson and Mrs. Robert (Hazel Carter) DuBois, both of Arcanum; four stepsons, Gene Carter, Kettering, Charles and Melvin Carter, both of Greenville, and Chester Carter, New Madison; and a sister, Mrs. Ermal Roby, Piqua. His first wife, Esther, died in October 1974. A son, Vernon, is also deceased.
Private services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Miller Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Elwood Stuart officiating. Interment will follow in Beamsville Cemetery.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
