African-American Alamo Defender. He was a slave belonging to Francis L. Desauque, a merchant within the Alamo garrison compound and worked as a clerk in his store. He was left in the Alamo when Desauque was sent out by Lieutenant Colonel Travis for supplies. In belief of the Revolution and the rights to freedom, he and other blacks baring arms died in the battle of the Alamo.
