Thomas Jefferson II [3324.4.1] (1679- 15 Feb. 1730/1) paid quit rents on 507 acres in 1704. [English Duplicates of Lost Virginia Records (des Cognets), page 218] Jefferson married twice. His first wife was Mary Field (3 Feb. 1679/8 0 - 13 Aug. 1715) whom he married 20 November (license) 1697. [Henrico County Deeds & Wills 1697-1704, page 96] Mary was the daughter of Maj. Peter Field and his wife Judith Soane, daughter of Henry Soane and the widow of Henry Randolph.Field represented Henrico County in the Virginia House of Burgesses (1688, 1693). On 1 March 1708/9 Thomas Jefferson and Mary, his wife, "daughter of Maj. Peter Field of New Kent" sold 200 acres on the south side of Swift Cree k to Abraham Burton.
[Henrico County Deeds & Wills 1706-09 , page 150] Jefferson married second Alice Ward. We do not know if she were part of the family of Richard Ward.
**In 1722 Thomas Jefferson and Ailse, his wife, deeded some form of property to Thomas Turpin. The same day Turpin and his wife, Obedience, conveyed property to Jefferson. [Henrico County Court Order Book 1719-1724, page 276] A justice of Henrico County, Jefferson died there on 15 February 1730/ 1 (will dated 15 Mar. 1725/6 [Henrico County Deeds & Will s 1725-37, page 293] recorded 6 April 1731).
