Local funeral services for John (Jack) Dorough, Jr. were held last Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the Chapel of Berry-Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. H.B. Duling, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dorough, a native of Milledgeville, passed away Tuesday, June 2 at his home in Jacksonville, Florida.
At the time of his death he was employed as a Medical Lab Technician for Dr. Nathaniel Jones in Jacksonville. He was a 1953 graduate of Midway High School and received his B.S. Degree from the University of Jacksonville in 1968.
He was president of the Arlington Elementary School PTA, and manager of "Rebels" Little League Team.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; two sons, Steve and David; two daughters, Suzanne and Gil, all of Jacksonville;
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Dorough of Milledgeville; one
sister, Mrs. Ann Richardson of Milledgeville; one niece, Robin Richardson, also of Milledgeville.
Pallbearers were Russell Power, Marion Pennington, Ralph Hammock, W.C. Reynolds, Robbie Miller and Jimmy Harrison.
