Priscilla was the daughter of the Rev. Gabriel C. McDuffee, pioneer minister of the Church of the Disciples, who moved from Bourbon Co, KY to Rush Co, IN, and there established three churches of that denomination. Her mother was Priscilla (Evans) McDuffee.
