Barbara Leonetti, 73, of Jackson, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, surrounded by family. Born on March 8, 1938, in Sacramento, CA to Claude and Belle McWherter. A long time resident of Amador County, she spent 35 years working at The Bottle Shop on Main Street which she owned and operated with her husband, John Leonetti. Barbara is survived by her three children, Patricia Gold and Julie McClellan of Jackson, Charles Leonetti of Pine Grove; son-in-law, Troy Gold of Jackson; sister-in-law, Angie Trotter of Sutter Creek; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John Leonetti; siblings, Betty Sifers, Bonnie McDaniel, Mac McWherter, and Jerry McWherter. Barbara will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in the Garden of Valor at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson. At her request, no service will be held. The family is especially grateful for the compassionate care received from Dr. Mark Faryan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Amador and Calaveras Counties, P.O. Box 595, Jackson, CA 95642.
