Donald William Bannasch, age 91, a Harper Woods resident passed away on Friday March 6, 2009 at St. John Hospital in Detroit.

Mr. Bannasch was retired from the gas company where he worked in the maintenance department.

He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Mr. Bannasch was predeceased by his wife Elsa.

He is survived by his sons Frank (Jacqueline) Travis and Donald (Dolores) Bannasch.

His is the grandfather of Frank A. Travis, Michael G. Travis, Carolyn Travis, Jeanne M. Travis, Kristen Bannasch and Dawn Bannasch.

He also has many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the S. K. Schultz Funeral Home 43300 Garfield Road, North of 19 Mile Road, in Clinton Township on Monday March 9, 2009 from 3:00 until 9:00 pm with a Scripture Service at 7:00 pm.

Visitation on Tuesday will be at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Harper Woods from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 am.

Cremation will follow with interment of ashes at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
