Clyde P. Angle, 58, of Jefferson City, died Monday, August 28, 2006, in Columbia, Missouri, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born January 17, 1948, in Anthony, Kansas, the son of the late Ralph and Helen (Majerak) Angle. He was a 1966 graduate of Rolla Senior High School in Rolla, Missouri. Clyde went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri; and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections from Drury College. He also earned his Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. On September 14, 1974, he was married in West Plains, Missouri, to Lynne Core, who survives at their home in Jefferson City. For the past twenty years, Clyde had a private law practice where he specialized in Trust and Estate Planning. Over the years, Clyde worked at the Greene County Prosecutors Office as a Major Crimes Investigator, as Chief of Police Officer and then as a Municipal Judge in Ashland, Missouri, and as a Marshal of the Missouri Supreme Court. Clyde also was Vice President and Trust Officer at Central Bank. Clyde had served as Jefferson City Municipal Judge and as a City Councilman and was a current Republican candidate for Cole County Circuit Judge. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Cole County Bar, the Missouri Bar and the American Bar Associations. He was a past member of Rotary West in Jefferson City; a board member of Cole County Residential Services and the Jefferson City Firemen's Pension Board. He also served with the American Cancer Society, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers and was a Founding Officer of the Missouri Chapter of the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse. Clyde enjoyed traveling, Texas Longhorn football and watching movies. Work was Clyde's life, and he was a political advocate for issues he felt were important for the betterment of his community. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed time with his dogs. He is also survived by two daughters,Ashley Anne Angle of Jefferson City, Mo., and Lesley Noel Angle of Austin, Texas; one sister, Terri Angle of Wichita, Kan. Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Falba Core; sister-in-law, Anne Walker and husband, E. C., two nephews and families, Cotton Walker, wife Debra and their children, Jacquelyn and Quinn, and Jeff Walker, wife Heather and their daughter Amber. Friends will be received from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Daniel Hilty and Dr. E. Gene Rooney officiating. Interment will be private for the family. In Lieu of Flowers, the family wishes that expressions of sympathy be made to the Rev. Robert W. Core Scholarship at Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO or to the Jefferson City High School Scholarship Funds in memory of Jennie Sipes or Josh Harris.
