Death: May 8, 1968

AMS 3 US Navy; Vietnam VDFC-AM-NCM-PH, I received the following from a member of the family, describing how this 20 year old died serving his country. :
AMS3 Lloyd Cone died at Binh Thuy Army Hospital South Vietnam, as a result of wounds from enemy automatic weapons fire on 8 May 1968, six miles south of Can Tho, South Vietnam while serving as crewmember of helicopter that was assisting the Army of Vietnam in an attack against the Viet Cong.
He was a Navy helicopter door gunner with Helicopter Attack (Light) Squadron Three, HA(L)-3 in Vietnam.
