Eliza was the daughter of Rebecca Rogers and Chrisley Eaton. At the time of her death she was married to Sam Jarvis Wells. She wrote a will leaving half of her property to him and half to her daughter, Bertha Eaton Moberly.

The 1910 census indicates that she was married briefly to John Franklin Rogers. Her name was given as Eliza Rodgers, and she was noted to be widowed. She had living with her two of Frank's children by Melvina Rose Rogers, Daniel and Bessie. There was a younger third child with them named Fount who was born in 1901. He is also buried in this cemetery under the name Fountan Rogers. Unfortunately, no death certificate has been found for him.
