SIX-YEAR-OLD BOY IS
KILLED BY LOCOMOTIVE
Slipping in the snow as he ran across the tracks of the Steelton Branch of the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad, John Spealman, 6 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Spealman, of 1025 South Ninth Street, was struck by an engine yesterday morning and instantly killed.
The lad was on his way to a corner grocery at the time of the tragedy. He was accompanied by a playmate, Albert Wittington, who refused to try to cross the tracks with him ahead of the approaching train.
