Mattie Ashby passed away 10 Nov 2001 in Bossier City LA. She was born in Pleasant Hill LA and was a lifelong resident of Blanchard, LA. She was a retired Blanchard librarian and served 32 months in the W.A.A.C. during WWII. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. & Mrs. A.D. Ashby, six brothers & three sisters.
She is survived by her sister, Imogene Bertrand of Blanchard, LA; brothers, O.F. (Pete) Ashby of Karnack TX
& David Ashby Sr of Crowley, LA; & a host of nieces and nephews.
